I'm From Missouri, Show Me: Preparing for an Audit
When preparing for an audit, current methods of log books, printouts and data management systems still fall short in integrating all the required documentation. This faculty-directed continuing education activity will explore critical touchpoints that may be requested during an accreditation survey and be prepared to answer questions using risk analysis and guidelines.

LEARNER OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of this presentation, participants will be able to:
1) Discuss preparation needed to pass an accreditation audit.
2) Identify resources available for preparing and passing an accreditation audit.
3) Review processes for identifying practice gaps to improve practice for flexible endoscope reprocessing.

CONTACT HOURS
Upon successful completion of the entire program, including any resulting Q&A, participants will be granted 1.5 contact hours CNE credit (1.8 contact hours in WV). No partial credit will be granted.

ACCREDITATION
Provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider Number 08747, the District of Columbia Board of Nursing, Provider Number 50-574, the Florida Board of Registered Nursing, Provider Number 50-574, the Georgia Board of Nursing, Provider Number 50-574 and the West Virginia Board of Examiners for Registered Professional Nurses, Provider Number 50-26112.

According to the criteria of the American Board of Certification for Gastroenterology Nurses (ABCGN), 1.5 hours earned in this activity are considered GI Specific for the purpose of recertification by
contact hours through the ABCGN.

This program has been pre-approved by the Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) for 1.5 hours.

This program has been approved by the International Association of Healthcare Central Service Material Management (IAHCSMM) for 1.5 hours.

This program is acceptable for surgical technologist recertification by the National Center for Competency Testing.
